CORRESPONDENT BANKING OFFICER
Illini Bank is currently recruiting for a full-time Correspondent Banking Officer. The Correspondent Banking Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with correspondent banks in order to acquire, increase and maintain mortgage loan activity.
Essential Functions:
• Develop and maintain business relationships with correspondent banks to obtain growth in third party mortgage loans. Responsible for extensive sales calls and travel.
• Build and maintain existing customer relationships by making on-site visits to evaluate our overall level of service delivery.
• Develop and maintain a written sales calling plan to include targeted prospects/customers and services to be sold, updating the plan each calendar quarter as needed.
• Maintain reports of all customer and prospect calls and provide a monthly report to manager.
• Develop a clear understanding of the needs of each community bank prospect to effectively present solutions and prepare new client proposals.
• Attend various outside functions as directed by the manager that offers the opportunity for networking. May require overnight travel.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the financial industry, particularly those issues that impact community banks and the services offered to community banks through attendance at various seminars.
• Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
• Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
• Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
• Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
Job Requirements:
• 3-5 years of experience in sales management, with strong emphasis in mortgage banking.
• Advanced PC knowledge, primarily word, excel and power point required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
The qualified candidate will have a proven record of leadership and the ability to drive sales and be able to work independently with a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics. Extensive travel is required. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and furnish their own vehicle. Illini Bank offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.
