Where can I see a demonstration of Illini Bank's Internet Banking product?

Is special software required for Internet Banking?
The only thing you will need is your Internet browser with 128-bit encryption. When new features are added, they are done on the site, so you will not need to do anything on your PC to take advantage of the changes.

Can I access the Illini Bank Internet Banking website without 128-bit encryption?
No. You must update your Internet Explorer's encryption level to 128-bit. This can be done free of charge on Microsoft's website.
  At this link you can choose your correct operating system and Internet Explorer version and download the encryption update.

How do I enroll in Internet Banking?
As long as you have an Illini Bank deposit account and have Internet access, simply click Login, then click on the Enrollment Form and follow the on-screen instructions.

Do I have to open a new or special account to use Internet Banking?
No. As long as you have an Illini Bank deposit account and have Internet access, you may use Internet Banking.

How much does Illini Bank's Internet Banking cost?
If you choose Internet Banking without Bill Pay, there is no charge for accessing your account information and making account transfers. If you choose Internet Banking with Bill Pay for Consumers, there is no charge for accessing account information, making account transfers, or utilizing Bill Pay.  If you choose Internet Banking with Bill Pay for Business/Commercial accounts, there is no charge for accessing account information or making account transfers, however, there is a cost of $4.95 per month for utilizing Bill Pay.

How soon can I start using Illini Bank's Internet Banking after enrolling?
Once we receive your enrollment request, we will mail you our Internet Banking Disclosure for review. Once you review this disclosure, you will need to sign it and return it to us. Upon receiving your signed disclosure, Illini Bank will mail you a user name and password via U.S. mail. You may start using Illini Bank's Internet Banking as soon as you receive this user name and password.

Can I change my password?
You will use your original password to login the first time. Then, it will prompt you to change your password. You can change your password as often as you like. For improved security of your password, please use random words and numbers. Illini Bank's Internet Banking requires your password to be at least six characters long and to contain at least one numeric and five alpha characters. For increased security purposes, passwords are also required to be changed every 90 days.  Never use easy to guess passwords such as a simple series of numbers, a child's name, a birth date, etc. Always remember to keep the original password in a secure place. If you for some reason forget your password, we can reset it to your original password.

How current is the information provided online?
Illini Bank's Internet Banking product reflects "real time" transactions and account information.  Transactions completed after 4:00 PM will not be reflected until the next business day.
 

How much past account information can I view?
Checking and savings account information includes activity appearing on your last mailed statement plus any current activity.  Internet Banking users also have the ability to view their last twelve (12) months worth of both checking and savings statements. 

Are there any times when Internet Banking services may not be available?
The Illini Bank Internet Banking product is scheduled to receive regular system maintenance between the hours of 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM on Wednesdays. You may experience technical difficulties if you attempt to access your accounts during the maintenance period; if so, please sign on to your accounts at a later time.

How will Bill Pay work, and when is the money withdrawn from my account?
Illini Bank's Internet Banking is Internet-based and allows customers to set up single or recurring bill payments. The amount of the payment will be deducted from your account on the day you designate the bill payment to be processed. Illini Bank recommends that you allow at least seven (7) business days for payment processing to ensure that the bills are received and credited prior to your due date. Please note that Internet Banking does reflect immediate "real time" account transactions.

What bills can I pay using Internet Banking with Bill Pay?
You can pay anyone you owe with a United States address, regardless of whether it is a company or an individual. For example, you can pay anyone you want from a utility bill to the baby-sitter or even your doctor. Note: We are unable to process tax or court directed payments where additional documentation may be required.

What additional things am I responsible for to make certain my bills are paid successfully through Illini Bank's Internet Banking?
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you input is complete and accurate. You must make certain that you have sufficient funds in your account when you make a payment, otherwise it will be rejected. We also recommend that you allow at least seven days for bills to reach their destination, so that they can be processed prior to your due date.

If I report my Illini Bank ATM/Check Debit Card stolen, can I still access my accounts via the Internet?
If your card is reported stolen, you may request a replacement card from Illini Bank. Your Internet Banking access would remain unchanged unless you request otherwise.

Can I use my browser's Back or Refresh buttons?
Please use the navigation provided within Illini Bank's Internet Banking product to navigate between accounts and pages. Using the Back or Refresh buttons may cause errors to occur during your banking session.

How do I know that my banking session is being protected by encryption?
Both Netscape's Navigator and Microsoft's Internet Explorer offer visual assurance that your banking session is protected. When in an encrypted sessions, Netscape's Navigator, equipped with 128-bit encryption, will display a double-tooth key in the lower left corner of your monitor. Similarly, Microsoft's Internet Explorer will make visible a closed padlock in the lower right corner of your monitor. Generally, when not in a secure session, the key image will appear broken and the padlock will look open. Please note, however, that some browser versions may not display a symbol when viewing an unencrypted page. As a general Website usage matter, Illini Bank recommends that you use Microsoft Internet Explorer browser version 5.0 or later. For additional information, please refer to the Microsoft Website. Please note Microsoft may require that you first complete on Online Profile form prior to accessing the support articles. Any information you provide to Microsoft Corporation is not required by Illini Bank and may not be used in a manner consistent with our Privacy Policy. Checking for Security: To determine the security of a Web page, click inside the page with the right mouse button, click Properties on the menu that appears, and then click Certificates. A web page that is on a secure server will display the security information for the specific site in the Certificate information box.

Which browser do you recommend?
Illini Bank recommends use of Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5.0 or later because it supports the imagery of the bank statements online. All the same account information will be visible in Netscape, but the statement background will not appear as familiar to our customers.
